NBARC
What is NBARC?
NBARC stands for Newton-Brookline Asylum Resettlement Coalition.
NBARC is an interfaith group of six congregations working together to provide community-based support to refugees and asylum seekers in Newton and Brookline, Massachusetts.
NBARC also aims to educate our congregational communities about updates in policies that impact our clients. For more information about immigration matters and local policy updates, click here.
What We Do
NBARC provides, or helps asylum seekers access:
food
clothing
English language instruction
daycare
education / opportunities for community engagement
job training and employment
permanent housing
legal support
We work with clients who already have temporary housing from the time they submit their asylum claim until they obtain work authorization, find employment, and become self supporting.
